New Moon in Gemini
A lunar cycle guide June 14 - July 13
Happy New Moon in Gemini, and lunar return for my fellow Gemini Moon cousins!
VIBE for this New Moon Cycle:
This cycle begins with the new moon in Gemini on June 14th. It is time to get curious and then end this cycle with curiosity. Why? The cycle begins with the New Moon in Gemini, and ends this cycle with the Balsamic Moon in Gemini. I thought of a song lyric as I wrote this ‘free your mind and the rest will follow.” If we applied that personally, how can we break the chains and chaos in our minds? What would it look like if we freed our mind of fear, limiting beliefs and negative self talk? If your mind was free, think of the possibilities and ideas you could explore. And then during the balsamic moon, reflecting on your intentions for this cycle, and ending with what really had my attention? What did I break free from? Some journal prompts for this New moon:
What am I curious about? Are there any goals I can set now that may get a spark on the Full moon in Capricorn on June 29th?
How can I be better at adapting to change?
Message from Spirit: I pulled a card to see what collective message Spirit has for us.
The message is calling us to acknowledge a shadow aspect of ourselves and show it some attention and love. There is a lot of busy energy with this New Moon, Sun and Uranus all in Gemini. It can sometimes feel like overdoing, overworking and overthinking. Can you explore where you are overdoing it? Can you explore opportunities to give yourself some more love and make space for a new beginning? This New Moon is calling us to be openminded, curious and willing to love our shadows. Gemini is all about duality, “the twins”. We are encouraged to sit in the dark, and let our light bring attention to what needs to be healed.
Message from Spirit if you are a Gemini Moon:
The message for Gemini Moon cousins is speak! Sit and talk to your ancestors. Write to them. Nourish your altar. They are protecting you regardless but as you heal and grow and go through lessons, you are healing them. So spend more time in meditation with them, talk to them in nature and know that you are loved.
Moon Phases for this cycle:
New Moon Phase: June 14th
A New Moon brings “potential”. A time to plant seeds typically.
This new moon will be in Gemini and the moon is waxing. With the moon waxing, it can encourage movement, but Gemini energy wants to think of all the possibilities.
Tips for this phase: Don’t start too many things. Pick one thing you are curious about. Write your intentions and what that will look like once you get it. Keep this paper until the full moon. We have a full moon in Capricorn that will be supportive of goals and intentions you set this cycle.
Crescent Phase: June 18th
This phase begins with the Moon in Leo.
During this phase it is like the moon begins to peak with a slight sliver.
Tips for this phase: Get curious on the possibilities that will manifest from those intentions. Focus on what it will feel like when you are living in those manifestations!
The Moon is trining Saturn in Aries. Two fire signs with energy that looks like all eyes on me and not to be afraid. What is holding you back from being your authentic self?
First Quarter Phase: June 21st
This moon phase begins with the moon in Libra which is also trining Mars in Taurus.
Vibe: This is where we have to trust any intuitive nudges! If you feel called to take action on an intention, do it. The Libra energy is supportive of relationships and partnerships. Is it possible someone can assist you in those intentions?
Tips for this phase: Write a few affirmations that align with your intentions. Make it more fun by affirming what it is you are calling in (like you already have it).
Waxing Gibbous Phase: June 25th
This moon phase begins with the moon in Scorpio.
Vibe: What seeds have begun taking shape, if any? Have your intentions changed at all? This is a time to review and refine anything. Scorpio energy supports anything you have passion for.
Tips for this phase: Take action steps that are inspired. Inspired action is key during a waxing phase. Do what feels right. And with this supportive energy, watch for the auspicious opportunities.
Full Moon Waning Phase: June 29th
This full moon will be in Capricorn.
Vibe: Full moons illuminate! So what aha moments arrive during this time? What did you learn? Celebrate any wins or intentions that manifested. Journal about what did not, because guess what? You can always start over on another new moon! Capricorn energy is long-term, steady and the big picture. What ideas or subjects sparked your curiosity?
Tips for this phase: I like to release what no longer serves me from this cycle. But I like to write a gratitude list of what came forth during this cycle as well. Gratitude helps us attract and it also is a beautiful reminder to celebrate what you appreciate.
Disseminating Phase (Waning): July 3rd
This phase begins with the moon in Aquarius.
Vibe: This is a time as the moon starts to wane, reflecting on everything since the new moon. Aquarius energy is supportive of the collective and thinking outside the box.
Tips for this phase: Share what you learned! Write about, blog about, share with your community. Sharing knowledge or your wisdom is key.
Third Quarter or Last Quarter Phase (Waning): July 7th
This phase begins with the moon in Aries.
Vibe: You may feel like walking away from something that is no longer in alignment. Aries energy supports move making. Do what you need to for you!
Tips for this phase: Review what’s not working and not aligning with those intentions or your values.
Balsamic or Waning Crescent Phase: July 10th
This phase begins with the moon in Gemini. It is also sextiling with Jupiter in Leo and Neptune in Aries. This is beautiful energy for inspiration, and creativity.
Vibe: Last phase before the new moon. Time to rest and go within. Reflect. Final release. Write a letter from your future self to your current self. What message (s) came up for you?
Tips for this phase: Let go of something! Can you donate, or get rid of things? Can you let go of old beliefs? Can you let go of shame, guilt or anything that did not work in this lunar cycle? Make peace with the past and make space for the next new cycle!
Special Moon Aspect Days:

More about this guide:
This guide will be published on each new lunar cycle beginning on the new moon. Also, it will be filled with the moon phases of the month and tips to maximize rest, taking action and celebrating your achievements. Your natal moon sign is your key to understanding what you need to feel emotionally fulfilled, and how to best nurture yourself. Getting to know the moon as they change every few days is a good way to see and feel the “mood” of the day. I work with the moon phases to show me when I need to rest, reflect or move on my inspiration. I love the moon!
What is a Lunar Cycle?
There are approximately 27-29 days in each lunar cycle. The moon will go through 8 phases and change zodiac signs every 2-2.5 days. Aspects to other planets can provide more context on the vibe but getting to see how you feel and some basic tips I have used during each phase you can use or follow your intuition. There are so many layers in astrology when it comes to aspects (relationships to other planets), and so much more. To make this simple I am only working with the moon and some potential auspicious placements. Always use your discernment and trust your intuition! I am sharing my experience and what has worked for me, so feel free to pass if it is not for you. The main goal here I want to share is that learning how you feel with the moon provides another tool to guide your intentions, add to your self-care routines and any healing or your own spiritual practices. If you are one that has a menstrual cycle, then you are heavily influenced by the moon and its phases.

Fun Fact: If you were born under a New Moon, chances are you love spontaneity. You love to take a risk and jump head first. You could be impulsive or restless. When you are at your best you are a great leader much like Aries energy, taking initiative. New moon people love to start over and start new things. But they can get bored, so taking time before making decisions or launching something new is ideal.

Great to have you back 💜
Love this for us!
